Sunset Villas Cobram is in the country where cows and sheep graze in the paddocks surrounding the villas.  Venture beyond the farm gate to explore and experience the history, nature, produce, community and culture of our region.

  • Cactus Country: just 5 minutes up the road from Sunset Villas is the Australia’s largest cactus garden. Take the time to wander through the extensive gardens and make sure you sample the cactus cake or cactus ice cream. Allow a couple of hours to really enjoy this nationally awarded experience.
  • Thompson’s Beach: Murray River for boating, swimming, fishing and relaxing. Free BBQ’s and well established picnic grounds within the vista of the mighty Murray.
  • Sun Country on the Murray, Farm Gate Trail: staying in the food bowl gives you access to the freshest produce straight from the farm to you.
  • The Big Strawberry: just up the road from Sunset Villas, experience all things strawberry including picking your own. Don’t miss out on the Devonshire Tea or the pancakes with strawberries and cream – both our family favourites.
  • Parkrun : Every Saturday morning Parkrun (or walk) starts from Thompson’s Beach at 8am. This is a free event run by volunteers and visitors are welcomed! The loop track takes participants across to Quinn Island. Koala spotting is a must!
  • Byramine Homestead Brewery and Cider House :  located 20 minutes from Sunset Villas is this little piece of local history. Call in for a self guided tour, to sample the local brew and a bite to eat. The sharing platter is not to be missed!
  • Rich Glen Olive Estate : When in Yarrawonga, a visit to the Rich Glen Provedore is a must. Sample the range of olive oils, dressing and pantry goods available. Rich Glen Orangerie you will find their skin and body range of products. Take home a little taste of your holiday. Poppy’s Favourite Salad dressing is our favourite!
  • Mantos’ Produce and Providore : located in the town centre of Cobram is where you will find the freshest local produce. If it is local honey, eggs, fruits, nuts or pizza bases you will find it at Manto’s.
  • Cobram Barooga Golf Club :  Welcome visitors to enjoy the facilities. Whether its a hit of golf or a bistro dinner, lunch or breakfast, Sporties has a meal for all appetites and occasions.
  • Tocumwal Aviation Museum : Discover the significant, unique and secret wartime history and the heritage of a centenary of aviation at Tocumwal. The Drome Cafe is a must to end your tour.
  • Cobram Cinema : A community lead initiative where the Cobram Youth Group (CYG) has forged a unique partnership with Cobram Masonic Lodge to build a community cinema in Cobram. Opened in 2023 with all funds raised invested back into our community.
  • Op Shopping : there are 4 op shops in Cobram with many of the surrounding towns also boasting their own community run shop.
